One of the first trees to recolonise in Britian after the last Ice Age.

It's a beautiful sunny late winter day, The worms are digging and the birds are 'ALL SYSTEMS GO', But their is a revolution in the air. The steadfastness of the 'silent spring' is to be paralysed by winter. A short interlude from Fahrenheit 212 and an identity crisis for Spring. But a chance for the gardener to do some daydreaming and time-wasting,(this is a very important part of my job)a Step BACK i call it,Interacting with nature thinking about it's creative imagination and eagerness at this time is my own version of BINGE-SHOPPING. Us anthropoids should do more of this. and we need a link to natures world away from a competitive commerce-driven culture which is SO unrealistic, and it's fantastic to see more and more people come round to the good life. This move is crucial for the future!, As we need a cosmopolitan, kindhearted and enthusiastic country-side, As nature is not futile it has a stimulating philanthropic culture with lots of wisdom to harvest for our own NONperformance. It is longing to attract the effervescent worlds of science, art and the highbrow. Sophisticated ethical surroundings is what nature give's us and WE, (i think) need to re-open the duologue between our own culture and natures. Every metropolitan should have an environmental citadel to learn in, i have put this to the grey wall of my local rule, so watch this space. And watch out servile rednecks and pugnacious wet's of Draconian Britian!,(the literati protectors are on their way),Time to 'HIT THE HAY'. In sweet reprisal windmills need fabricating in their fields, sunflower juice giving the muscle to their Range Rovers, and some imagination put into their single malt!.Thanks to Kyoto being added to the slow progression of the regime, this may happen, a slow creep out of the CUL-DE-SAC is all we can hope, but it's good to see LIGHTWATER and Earth up with capitalism and affairs of state.- and with any luck the Fabian society will take over the WACKO's at the countryside alliance and Monday group.(better out than in! and nature will win!)...

"Work like you don't need the money,
love like you've never been hurt,
dance like nobody's watching,
sing like nobody's listening.
and live like it's heaven on Earth,

i'll get my coat!...........

The Soprano's

Feburary is an 'era' in nature that is domineering, From now up to the Spring equinox on March 21st the landscape is ephemeral. The Earth 'tunes' in with the giant authority of the sun and moon, and again from chaos the pyrotechnics give steadiness to natures inspired world, The sunset is chunky and profound at this time, you would have to be twisted not to heed this, and observe some of the sublime 'Shakes of a lambs tail' in this month. The sun is a representative of hope and possibilities in our own indigent little world. If you do just one thing in this week of Eros look at the sunset.
As the garden tunes in, swarms of impresario's assemble,The soprano's silently open up turning like SPUTNIK up to work with the sun. seeing the flowers i have history with is a good cure for lethargy, The Hazel catkins and foxy color of the Silver Birch put the ineffectual world in contrast. The refined taste of the planet is like 'PUNK' sincere, captivating and the Godfather!,the universal's here and a clear realization that Nirvana is around us,The honour to work with a broad-minded outfit that is barbarous and compassionate is undoubtedly an elevation, and i see it's slow eradication tantamount to watching a murder.

THE STING

Time to be bewitched, out in the sticks, it's zero hour and the etching is getting some spunk!. The new narrative is 'The Rites of Spring'- No more spurious hopes and starts!, I know from my antecedents and generics that saunter with me that the shameless 'rave-up'! the great escape , the holy grail, the nine and a half month pageantry that is creation is here ! I'm about to get some lifeblood along with my troupe.
The flora and fauna are mother earths abstract expressionists, in come Pollock,De Kooning and Rothko- sparking without a stumbling block. The 'rough sketch' becomes viscous and everything desired.
The soundtrack has changed with new amplification, the Woodpecker drills out his crazy beat 'pinging his ruler on the edge of a desk', This in turn is a call to the other birds, the blue tit's become castle-builders and more intrepid, they think i'm a GOBSHITE' as they commute from tree to tree, 'Look at him all secular and slovenly'! Birds can be so patronizing, but they have a good point.
You realy can get stoned on the SAPience and 'STING', this maybe a bit thrifty in February but it's what this represents that counts.
I am under the auspices of nature and it will take me many more years to get clued-up to her audit, and at this time she primes and revives me for the charge. Most important is to be a law-breaker to your books and clientele, but honourable to creation, as patronage WITH, and prompts FROM, are fruitfull and rhythmical, Also as a violater you can watch, learn and think!.(the only master gardener i know is a worm) and as his understudy the rudiments for now are raw and solid,(compost and cutting) the hard work obstructs the humbug in this opening and lynchpin of the season,
All i can say is get a job outside !,Indoor jobs are for politico's,lawyers and yobs, and the avant-gardening life is good for everyone! Give your primeval alter ego a titivate in the glorification of spring. THE HOLY GRAIL!!!!
